artists get 100% of what you pay for their work. On bandcamp friday all proceeds go to the artist.
bandcamp fridays are usually the first friday of every month though right now there isn’t one until August 6th, 2021. though this Friday 6/18 they’re giving all the money they usually take to the NAACP Legal Defense Fund
and even if you don’t buy stuff on bandcamp fridays, bandcamp still pays artists 80-85%, whereas spotify only pays artists less than half a cent per stream.
so if you like listening to someone’s music on spotify, also support them on bandcamp if you’re able to!
So…I started playing Stardew Valley Expanded and it’s really good, I also added a bunch of mods to make the game more fun like skipping the fishing minigame and adding more variety to my animals as well as being able to adopt an unlimited number of cats or dogs. I really wanted to add on the love of cooking mod but because of the huge new update released for the base game, it’s not working anymore.
Maybe I’m just An Old but all of my co-residents are shocked and horrified by the prospect of putting their phones on do not disturb when they sleep between shifts. One of the frustrating things of having a group chat is that when you work nights and are trying to sleep during the day the group chat wakes you up. So I’ve suggested that they put their phone on do not disturb and they all look at me like it’s the most unreasonable thing in the world to suggest.

When I’m not at work, my phone is on do not disturb. I’ve had it like that for nearly 8 months. I check my phone when I feel like it, when I’ve prepared myself for it, when it’s convenient for me. You can set the settings so if the same number calls you more than once in a specific time period it allows the call to go through so I have yet to miss any super time-sensitive or urgent/emergency calls. The do not disturb feature is the best thing about my cell phone outside of all of my cat pictures.
